Nightingales Home Care is a locally owned and operated home care agency. We have been serving the home care needs of Grand Valley residents since 2005. We are invested in your care and in the overall quality of life in our community. The Grand Valley is our home as it is yours.

Janet Walker started Nightingales in 2005, her vision and efforts were instrumental in setting the standard for home care services here in the Grand Junction area. Martin Boyce and Jeremiah Miller acquired the company in 2018.

We believe people recover quicker, are the happiest, and thrive in a familiar environment—their own homes and if possible, everyone should have the option to “age in place.”  Quality home care allows the client to stay in control of their own life.  Their routines and home remain theirs, while maintaining independence and a consistent quality of life. Elderly clients, such as those experiencing dementia and macular degeneration, do better in their home environment to which they more comfortable and familiar.

We strive to honor our clients wishes through excellent customer service and client care. Services are customized to each client through collaboration with the client and their family.

Good home care helps maintain a clean environment, provides good meals, companionship, and a sense of safety and security.

Kathie and Martin
Martin Boyce, Owner/Director

My wife Kathie and I have called the Grand Valley home since 2005. We are both Midwesterners by birth but most definitely are Coloradans by heart. We are both passionate about helping people improve their quality of life. Kathie does this by serving as the Connections and Prayer Pastor with Canyon View Vineyard Church, and I do as the Owner/Director of Nightingales Home Care.

My career prior to acquiring Nightingales was with Walmart, retiring after 35 years in management. My most recent role was the Health and Wellness Director for the Western Slope based in Grand Junction. I supervised the Pharmacy and Optical operations for the company. My experience in the healthcare industry implores me to focus the efforts of our care on producing quality outcomes for our clients and their family. The transition from the corporate world to small business owner has been an exciting journey. Our interests outside work include time with our children/grandchildren, hiking, camping, pickleball, and living the outdoor lifestyle we are all blessed with by living on the Western Slope of Colorado.

We truly are invested in your care and in the overall quality of life in our community. The Grand Valley is our home as it is yours.

Robin B., Supervisor

Robin serves as our Secondary Administrator. She fell in love with caring for people while caring for both of her parents and her in-laws. She is aligned with Nightingales mission, believing that when possible and with the proper care, the best place to be is in your own home. The old adage really is true that “there is no place like home.” Robin is a two-time cancer survivor and truly understands how important it is to receive quality care. Robin enjoys time with family, fishing, and traveling when she is not working. She has worked at Nightingales Home Care since October 2008.

Sandra M., Supervisor

Sandra has been caring for people all of her life from her grandparents to her children. She was a marketing director at an assisted living facility for many years prior to coming to Nightingales. She has seen the stages of the aging process, from the varied settings of home care to assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. She has a very good understanding of what people go through and their fears. She is passionate about working with our clients to meet their care needs. “If I can help them to live a little better life, longer and happier, then I have been blessed.” She has worked at Nightingales since May 2013. 

Dawn M., Supervisor

Dawn’s responsibilities include handling the accounts receivables for the company. She is detail oriented and diligent in ensuring we have accurate billing. Dawn’s previous career was with American Airlines where she served as a flight attendant for 17 years. She is skilled in communicating with our clients and their family members in a compassionate and caring manner. She has learned a great deal about the process of aging in place and understands how valuable it is for the elderly to remain in their own home for as long as possible. Dawn has worked for Nightingales Home Care since 2012.

Angelia L., Supervisor

Angelia was in management and customer service for 18 years prior to joining the Nightingales Home Care. Angelia’s primary responsibly is coordinating schedules and matching clients with caregivers to help ensure the best outcome for the client. She is very diligent in meeting the scheduling needs of our clients. In her free time, she enjoys participating to renaissance faires, outdoor activities and relaxation, and going to the movies. She has worked for Nightingales Home Care since 2013.

Tonya T., Supervisor

Tonya assists with scheduling, billing, and serves in the role of being a caregiver. Before coming to Nightingales, she operated an in-home daycare for 11 years while her children were young. She is dedicated to helping others. Being able to make a positive difference in the lives of those we serve is what she loves most about her job. Tonya is a Grand Junction native. Her interests outside of work include spending time with her husband, kids and family and being outdoors and in the mountains hiking and camping as much as possible. She has worked for Nightingales since July 2016.
